Full Disclosure: I Like both Sam and Dave better than Van Halen.

While Sammy didn’t sport a mullet (his hair was party front, back and middle) his “pit crew” had some beauties and some really great feathering . What we really need to discuss is what he’s wearing. Holy crap.

The fun part is that it’s actually his car in the video.

Haircut is irrelevant. All about quality footwear. (which has a patron saint!)

The better part is he got the Van Halen job because of that car. He was getting it serviced and ran into a member of the band st the dealer when they were looking to replace David lee Roth.

When you say “Van Halen” do you mean the guitarist or the whole
band?

And very fun for the shop that services it.
Bi-annual engine out major service is fun!

huh that one ive not heard before
but all the way through the nineties and naughties i wore proper military grade shitkickers...
now i spend most of my time in safety bootsies (with blue laces) and the rest in some nice hiking shoes
something has gone horribly wrong

I’ve developed an affinity for red wing shoes. I made a corvair fanbelt out of their quality laces in a high mountain pass.

I had a Dad and A bunch of uncles in the navy, had unlimited supply of shit-kickers at one time. My “sea boots” (low cut navy combat with a steel toe.) used to clank when I walked. G ood for walking home in the hood.

my family is all army (well mostly was now)
so i had the high cut steel toed trooper bootsies... and a full length leather trenchcoat
the combination atracted more trouble than it prevented

Never a huge fan, but was there at the time. I just think Rock and Roll is fun, and both Sammy and Dave are fun. The Van Halens take themselve s
a bit too seriously for some guys who are in Van Halen.
The true dragon slaying showman professional of metal Will always be Ronnie James Dio. he got the joke.

I can imagine if it was the 90's. I had a london fog black trenchcoat in the 90's but I was going to a fancy-pants prep-school so I was also wearing a tie.

i had a black leather full lenght trench.. came to about halfway up my shins.. just above the boots
and was anything but fancy... grumpy metal head.. long hair, piercings and cargo pants..
i was pretty much a fight magnet on nights out

should add.. the trench was mostly late ninetys and all of the naughties tho
